“This community shaped my life. Now I want to help shape its future.”

Meet Chandler Arden

Chandler Arden is a lifelong Bryan–College Station resident with nearly 55 years of deep roots in the community. Born in Amarillo and raised in Bryan, he graduated from Bryan High School in 1984 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Photography from Sam Houston State University in 1988.

His career spans an impressive range of local business ownership and service: from small business owner and professional photographer to Realtor, real estate developer, and community leader. That breadth of real-world experience is exactly what he’s bringing to College Station City Council Place 2.

Issues That Matter

Public Safety First

Chandler believes public safety is the City’s number one priority. That means recruiting and retaining top-tier police officers and firefighters by ensuring competitive pay, strong benefits, and real support for the men and women who protect our community.

Fiscal Accountability

Chandler has been a vocal critic of what he sees as risky and costly City spending decisions. He believes the City has no business speculating with taxpayer dollars in real estate deals or other high-risk ventures, and he will push for greater transparency and accountability in how public funds are used.

Housing Affordability

Bryan builds four times more new single-family homes than College Station, because high impact fees are pricing families out. Chandler voted to recommend reducing roadway impact fees to zero because 1 in 6 local buyers can no longer afford a home.

Infrastructure That Works for Everyone

Good infrastructure is what makes neighborhoods thrive and businesses grow. Chandler supports prioritizing spending on roads, utilities, and city services that serve all residents. He points to Pebble Creek as a model: smart infrastructure investment that opened the door to a great neighborhood, an elementary school, and new economic growth.

Smart, Sustainable Growth

As a developer and Realtor with 15 years of experience in BCS, Chandler understands growth and he understands how to do it right. He supports neighborhood integrity, thoughtful zoning, and development policies that reflect what existing residents actually want for their community.

Business Experience. Community Heart.

Chandler brings real business acumen to Council: the kind that comes from decades of building and running companies, managing budgets, and making decisions with real-world, financial consequences. He’s not a career politician. He’s a neighbor who’s ready to work.
